Which boots do these pads fit?
Every Cougar Paws Shingle Roof Boot uses the same replaceable-pad system - the Performer, the Hi Top II, and the Steep Sneak II. Sizing is simple: Pads come in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7.5–8, 8.5–9, 9.5–10, 10.5–11, 11.5–12, 13 and 14, and every order is one pair.
New to the system? Boots-and-pads bundles pair a fresh set with your boots from day one.
How to swap your pads
1. Peel the worn pads off the soles - the industrial-strength Velcro® releases with a firm pull.
2. Line the new pads up with the sole, heel first.
3. Press firmly across the full pad so the grip is even.

Which boots do Peak Series pads fit?
Every Cougar Paws Shingle Roof Boot uses the same replaceable Peak Series pad: the Performer, the Hi Top II and the Steep Sneak II.
What surfaces do the pads grip?
Peak Series pads are built for shingle, plywood, wood shake, felt and slate. For steel and standing-seam metal roofs, use a magnetic boot instead, see the Steel Walker® II.
How do I know when to replace my pads?
You should check your pads, everyday, just as you would any other PPE. When your pad reaches within a ¼ inch of the flex zone wear bars, it's time to change. You do not want to break the outsole by wearing your pads down too far, this compromises the stability and the positioning of the pad.
How do I change the pads?
Peel the worn pads off, line the new ones up heel first, and press firmly across the whole pad. No tools, about a minute per boot. There's a demonstration on our how-to videos page.
What size should I order?
Pad sizes and boot sizes don't always match, so check the size options when you order, or call us at 276-632-3932 if you're not sure which pad fits your boot. Pads run from size 3 to 14 and are sold as one pair.
