Roofing Boots FAQ
Clear answers to help you choose the right tool for the job.
Trusted by professionals since 1996
What are the best roofing boots for shingle roofs?
For shingle and asphalt roofs, the Performer is our best-selling roofing boot. Its replaceable Peak Line pad-sole grips granular shingle surfaces far better than a standard work-boot tread, and the flexible leather upper keeps you comfortable through long, hot days.
What roofing boots work on metal roofs?
For metal and steel roofs, choose the Steel Walker II. It uses powerful magnets plus a softer rubber sole and enhanced tread to lock you onto steel. Only walk on smooth, even areas walking on screw heads or seams will damage the soles.
Are the soles (pads) replaceable?
Yes. Cougar Paws boots use the Peak Line pad-sole system, and the pads are fully replaceable, swap the pads instead of buying a new boot. Replacement pads, laces, and straps are sold separately.
How do Cougar Paws boots fit, and what's the return policy?
Sizing runs large; women should order two sizes down from their standard size. If the fit isn't right, see our Return Policy in the footer.
