How to Find Your Boot Size

While many professionals require specific clothing or equipment to do the job, roofers are particularly dependent on their shoes. After all, a roofer’s work boots play a significant role in their ability to work comfortably and without accident. Determining the correct boot size can make the difference between foot pain and a good day’s pay.

Boot Size vs. Shoe Size

As a general rule, men usually wear a half size smaller boot than a shoe. For those with narrow feet, we suggest you order a full size smaller.

Women, on the other hand, have to determine their shoe size a little differently. Since Cougar Paws run in men’s sizes only, women can’t use this same basic rule of thumb. But don’t worry. Our boots will fit any woman who wears a size 5 or larger. The math is just a little different.

With women, the general rule is to order Cougar Paws boots that are 2 sizes smaller than a regular shoe size. So, if you’re a woman wearing a size 8 shoe, size 6 Cougar Paws boots will very likely provide you with a good, comfortable fit.
